To be honest. The reason this girl is giving you stick is probably because she's threatened that someone (you) might take some of her limelight. At secondary school we all go through a difficult phase of trying to find our own individual identity and place in the world and can get defensive if we feel we have to share the limelight - especially if someone is any good at the activity we have chosen to associate our identity with.
I can see what others are saying in terms of not worrying about it and not letting her get to you. However, even though it was longer ago than I care to think about, I do remember that sometimes you just need to put people in their place at school to get them to leave you alone!
I would be very cool and calm and simply say to her "perhaps you should spend more time concentrating on your own designs rather than revising statistics about other designers like some kind of train spotter!"
Or
"If you're as good as you say you are, why are you trying so hard to prove yourself to everyone? Are you trying to convince us or yourself?"
Or
"When will you realise that fashion design is about setting trends, not trying to be like those who are already out there?"
Or
"Why waste your time worshipping other designers? Can't you come up with any of your own ideas?"
Or
"If you're so great, why are you acting so threatened about what I'm up to? Surely you shouldn't be interested in little old me!"
Or
"Oh ten points to you dear. I didn't realise this was a competition!"

it's too early to tell who is the better designer. you're both too young and still a long way off. go for your designing dreams if you're really into it and tell her that you two should meet 10 or more years from now. besides, knowing who the designers of chloe are doesn't make one a better designer. it's the creativity and designs that matter. don't show her that you're affected. it will make her stop.

You should follow your dreams if that is what you want to do don't let anyone else tell you that you are not good enough. They are just jealous that you want to be a designer. Good on you a friend of my daughter is a guy and he is at the top University in London training to be a designer. Just ignore her next time she wants to put you down. Good luck in the future.

Are all your designs still only sketches?
Produced some finished articles. If you are as good as you say, then your peers wil decide who out of the two of you is best.
You can also start selling finished items, which is a big financial bonus.

You really need to ignore her. Have you ever watched Project Runway? Notice how the ones that react to the annoying people always end up looking just as dumb (ie Vincent and Andrea)?

Be the better man in this. Respect her opinion and take her critique. Fashion disigners must go through the same thing. Dont compete with her, just let her know that you want this and her immatureness does not matter. Hope that helps?

Just don't mind her. Don't compete. Show your designs to her and ask her what she feels about it. If she tells you something that made you upset, just don't mind it. If that is what you really want, go for it. Just follow your dreams.
