Scooter Libby was convicted of Capital crimes of perjury and obstruction of justice, "four Federal felony counts". What he did was espionage by leaking a CIA agents identity to cover a the lie over saying Saddam had yellow cake to produce WMD's in Iraq. This was investigated and proven that it wasn't true, prior to the invasion of Iraq. Cheney had Scooter Libby declassify the truth and disclose CIA operative Valarie Plames identity at the cost of her career which is espionage.
