why do some videos get taken off youtube?

here are often videos that are on youtube one day and gone the next

it is only the tv shows that get taken off because fox, wanrner bros and universal are sueing youtube for violation of copyright! its quite annoying! but if you add the people who used to upload the tv shows, they can send you them privately.
