I try too.
"If you think twice before speaking once, you will speak twice the better for it."
(Penn)
Meaning:
It’s easy to spurt out something without really thinking about it. Usually, this ends up being okay with no harm done, but sometimes, you’ll say something that you wish you hadn’t. Problem is, you can’t take these words back. If you say the wrong thing, there is a strong chance that people will remember what came out of your mouth. So, before you speak, make sure that you mean what you say. Stand by what you do say, and follow through. Don’t criticize, but try being positive. Next time, before you blurt out a critique, say something nice instead. You’ll be respected for it.

Absolutely, I agree. It would be nice if all we had to do was worry about our own thoughts and stay in our own world, but if you want to have relationships with other people, friendships, etc., you have to think about about more than that. It is important to also think about other people and what they are going through as well as other things that are happening in this world that may affect you. It;s not good to "bury your head in the sand" so to speak. I think we all have times where we get caught up in our own minds and our own worlds, but sometimes you have to come out of there to live life to the fullest and share with others.

Its hard to answer this because all thinking happens in our own head and is colored by our own experiences and the world around us. Everything we think about is thought about in conjection with our experience and others. So, its hard for me to answer this question. Whether I think about my issues or God or the world its hard to separate it from what I think or know. Though new ideas and thoughts are happening all the time too. The only time I come close is when I pray but that too usually is about the world or my stuff too. hmmm good question.

Yes i agree, like you have kids or family members or you have thoughts about work. So all the time you are thinking about other things than concerning yourself. So this is life man. that is how it is.

Absolutely. If nobody ever thought, or had to think, like that, noone would ever give to charity, or give counseling, or smile at a friend who needs it when you're in a bad mood.
