India can win if atleast 3 players hit a half century, atleast 4 bowlers take wickets and control runs, and everybody in the team fields well such that their eyes are only on the ball and nothing else in every match, they can win the World Cup

India can win the cup if the Proteas can quit playing in the world cup! Or if the Proteas are eliminated!

If the following in every match India is to win:
> it they bat first
they must set a high total & make sure that the other team can not chase it
OR
they must bowl them out before they could reach the score (especially if its low)
> if they field first
they must restrict the other team's score
& must not loose their wickets when they play

The Indian cricket team on paper are the real World Cup winners under any conditions. But practically speaking let us see whether our Indian cricket team stand on the play ground and do that batting well bowling well and fielding well to reach the semi-final stage and final stage. I have serious doubts about our present Indian cricket team's capability to reach the semi-final and final stage..
