i live in india mumbai. i shifted from town to suburbs. i live here for atleast 6 years and never noticed the cuckoo bird(koyal) here and from atleast 1 week every morning i wake up with her melodies voice in the air any one here had noticed the same. i thought i should share it to someone but there isnt someone in my family to here such normal thing, to them ofcourse.

I deeply love nature. I'm so glad to have read your question and explanation. Your online name is beautiful, also. I, too, listen to the birds. In my area there are different birds in the morning and in the evening. Their songs are each different.
I'm from the US, and we have a saying here: "You have to stop and smell the roses." It means, don't get so busy with important things that you forget to do the special things that look small. For me, that's noticing the lovely formation of clouds; the song of a tiny bird, or even seeing tiny flowers that grow just before the lawn is mowed. And enjoying the special name someone chose in Yahoo!Answers. Thank you for making me smile.

I enjoy nature, as well. And I can understand what you mean by others in your family not thinking it is a big deal. So many people are so wrapped up in this fast paced world that they don't take the time to notice small things like the beauty of a bird's song.

That sounds so peaceful - I have just begun to be able to open my windows (weather) and I watched and listen to a red bird chatting away - I thought that was amazing
