I have an HP 5280 laptop, and it's OK: better than my previous Gateway desktop. (However, the Gateway was running Windows 98, and the laptop is running XP; that may have something to do with it.) If I had my 'druthers, though, I'd have a Macintosh. I started with Apples (first computer=Apple II+) and loved it through the Macintosh II, at which time I went to Windows because of the range of software I thought I needed. I didn't. I'm going back to the Macs when I change again.

I like dell but I'm thinking about a HP now. I'm just having problems with my dell at this very moment..... and this has been going on for that past three years.......

A nice, sleek, easy to travel with Sony VAIO. It's got a nice big screen, easy to use monitor, very comfortable. One of the lightest laptops if it's size out there in comparison. I got it at the Sony Outlet, so I saved myself a bundle. No major problems so far, but energy wise, it sucks it up real fast, so I still depend on having an outlet nearby, otherwise I run out in less than an hour, depending what I'm doing .

Hp- it sucks. since we bought it in 2006, it has not stopped having problems:
dvd burner doesn't work.
can't auto activate dvd/cds
icons don't show when i select "show/hide all the time"
icons are mixed up: msn has a volume thinbg for its icon, andvoume has this antivirus software for its icon, and bittorent has this weird thing for an icon...
they changed our dvd player, but still only 1 out of 11 dvds we burned of the same thing worked.
we have vowed our next computer will not be hp

I have a HP 7750...it is a monster.....I had a Dull before and it was the worst pc ever. My pc is brand new, and is the most powerfull pc that Best Buy sells

A Sony - lovely and shiny and silver. LOVE it to bits - just wish I could upgrade it a bit - but can't cos it's a laptop.
