I have a Ford Mondeo estate 2ltr - 130 bhp, I think its great.
We go camping a lot and I have plenty room for all our gear.
It is a company car and my last mondeo had 108,000 miles and only had a clutch fitted!!.
As standard on the cheapest LX you get A/C, remote central locking, cruise control, electric height adjuster on drivers seat, electric front windows, CD player and controls for it on the steering column.
I have attached an impartial review forum to get a better picture.
Hope it helps and safe driving whatever you go for.
I now have a Ghia which comes with much more but they are a real power horse and very roomy with it too.

volkswagen passat estate or skoda octavia estate both have the same engine as the audi but are alot cheaper both have 140bhp and are kitted out alot better than audi for your money. Also many se models of these cars come with a triptronic gearbox which means you can change gear like a manuel without the use of a clutch
