Is it all right for him to lift 5KG dumbbells just tone his biceps?

At his age push-ups, sit ups and running is the best. If he uses weights, light weights more times is much better than heavy weights. Go for tone not size at his age. His body is not ready for big muscle growth. Tell him wait a few years till the testosterone is freely flowing. 5KG? Can he do it 12 times 1 time and walk away don't pick it up with the same arm again? No pain the next day? Then it might not be to heavy. Talk it over with his doctor and coach. Tell him to take up wrestling. Not to be a tough guy but for the best conditioning he can get. Hope this helps. My freshmen yr. in High school (15yrs old.) I was 5'2" 98 LB. Tell him to stay HONEST and he can achieve anything he wants!
