Hi
If you dont know Birmingham, then I would definately get a taxi, There are buses direct to the ground but in a strange place a taxi is always safer, it will cost you around 6.50 and you have the added security of being dropped at the door in both ways.
If you dont want to use the black cabs, I can rec a good private hire company, its Called Star is local to the Villa area, would meet you at digbeth and then you could arrange for somebody to pick you up and take you back to the station. That way if there are any scuffles after the match you can get straight away, especially if you have children.
Telephone number is 0121 373 1111,
Hope that helps

its going to cost more than the fiver that the others are suggesting. It costs that from digbeth coach station to my house, and villa park is twice as far away. Give yourself a budget of £10- £12.

I guess a taxi would cost about £5. You would probably have to get 2 buses, or walk to New Street Station and get a train to Witton, which is right at the back of the ground. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to New Street.
For further information ring the Centro Hotline on 0121 200 2700. They deal with travel enquiries for the West Midlands.
