The whole purpose of these entitlements is to enslave you to the government. Entitlements are nothing more than socialism. I love paying taxes for others who choose to do nothing. I am tired of hearing about the poor, elderly, blah blah blah. People need to learn to take care of themselves again

This is a myth, of course. Fact is, our government collecting taxes is the law provided by an amendment contained in the constitution. Social programs provide health care and retirement pensions for hard working Americans, my friend. You wish to have 75 year olds to eat dog food and receive no medical treatment?
Spending WAS out of control, under a Republican President and republican controlled Congress the last six years.

Are you on crack? What do you expect our nation's underprivedged to do? Not everyone can become PhDs, ya know. Someone has to run the country doing the menial tasks that pay only slightly above minimum wage. Plus, SSI/Medicare helps our elderly...what do you want to do? Throw them on the street. These programs are what makes us great, and sets us apart from the rest of the world. I would hate to live in a country where you are in charge, even though I don't use these social programs that you loathe.
EDIT:
Tuscson you want to get rid of the FDA, are you kidding me? Sure lets really let corporations get away with whatever they want without a watchdog at their back...I'm sure you will be overjoyed about all the E.coli poisoning you get, not to mention that prescription drug that said it was a blood pressure medication, but only turned out to be a sugar pill, then you stroke out and die. Where do you get these ideas?

War? Depends on the reasons, but yes, defense is the only thing public money should be used for. Abolish income tax, and kill all the social services that live off of it; education, health care, welfare, social security, the ATF, DEA, FDA, etc, etc, etc...

I find it amazing that anyone would rather spend money on war than to help members of our own country...unbelievable.

Both social and military spending are out of control. That money is best spent on education. Hell, I'd even happily pay to educate you.

I totally agree with you there -- when I see children getting vaccinated or an elderly person getting their prescriptions filled, I think to myself "/sigh, that's good money that could be used to bomb brown people and gut civilian infrastructure!"
lol. /snark :-)
