i had something my dad used to call ''nightfright'' when i was small (9-11) . basically as soon as i closed my eyes everything stated spinning and it felt as if my bed was shaking, but as soon as i opened my eyes it would stop. i could only sleep if i was downstairs with my parents, or if i had a tv or radio in my room to concentrate on the sound.
i am now 19 and was thinking about this last night, has anyone got any info/linkswhere i can read up on this? or anyone had this who would like to speak about their experiance with it?

I do Sleep Studies and there is a condition called Night Terrors that is very common in children....my own son had them when he was younger...type night terrors into your search engine and it will bring up info...if that is not it...it could be a condition called sleep starts...it is a sleep - wake transition disorder where your entire body jerks upon falling asleep...hope this helps
