Find the video you want to download. Look at the url address which will be something like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbEv0T2rwgo. Replace the word "watch" with the word "get", so the url reads something like http://www.youtube.com/get?v=kbEv0T2rwgo. This will download videos from YouTube in Flash Video (FLV) format which can be played with the VLC Player. To download videos in other formats try pasting the url into a website which offers on-the-fly conversion.
