America is not a Christian nation, the U.S., as a country, has not official religion. Each and every citizen is free to choose what he or she wants to believe in or not believe in. And as for that pride comment, with all due respect, thats a croc. I have pride in my family and where I come from, I have pride in my service to my country, and I have pride in my son who will carry on my name and bring much more pride to it than I have. Pride is a good thing, if you cant pride yourself on your own acomplishments, if you cant look at yourself and know that you have overcame something, whats the point in doing anything. No, pride is a good thing, if one knows where to draw the line between being proud and being cocky.
Tell me honestly you have never once acomplished something that you felt a good sensation about, that feeling knowing you had finished something, you had done something. That feeling you got.....that was pride, tell me now that its a bad thing.

all religions around the world may be good or evil it depends on what power in your mind you conceived them to be ,your only know what man and book has instilled in your heart and soul all religions can be considered a sin it depends on when you are born and what human beings have programed you to be as well . as each person is born the with the knowledge of all languages in the brain you adapt each one from were ever you are born, if you took an infant from the far east, middle east ,Africa, south America, north America, or any tribe in the world, that baby would learn the language or religion

I am not a christian. But, I think most everything is good in moderation. Having pride will keep you from giving up on your goal, performing poorly at work, ect. It's a problem when it is carried on to the point of arrogance or conceit. Gluttony is also one of the seven deadly sins, but people gotta eat.

First, America is not a Christian nation, it's a secular democracy. The majority of American citizens may be Christian by declaration, but the USA has no official religion.
Second, there's a difference between having pride in one's accomplishments and being prideful. One is an essential element in self-confidence, and the other is more akin to arrogance. You're engaged in a fallacy called "equivocation," which means that you're treating a word with two meanings as though it only meant one thing.

first of all, being proud in specific circumstances isn't a sin. Secondly, being happy with your u . s . a . and and being a patriot, whilst offensive to you, purely shows your blind satisfaction as you carry your self as much as be extra appropriate than absolutely everyone else for the reason which you're extra "enlightened". additionally, for the reason which you're so in touch approximately our being sinful, i assume you settle with scripture that there are sins. So for the reason which you have observed our perceived sin, how's that working on your being judgmental of an finished group of human beings devoid of evidence that all of them are prideful?

pride is not a christian sin, but it is one of the 7 deadly sins. the 7 deadly sins are not in the bible, but in a play (I can't remember the name)
when we think of pride, we mean pride in ourselves and being a good person, etc.
the pride you speak of is in other words, being conceited. this means pride taken in money or objects that you have in your possession. or just showing off because you are dressed better or have a better car.

Not all Americans are Christian, so it is not a Christian nation. It is a diverse democratic republic, with its laws built on some Christian values. Like tho shall not murder, tho that seems more like a common sense law more than a religious one.
