Just inform the banker with the bearing number on the cheque...so that in case some one tries to mis-use......so just cancel the cheque....all the best.

depends on if it was worth it. If it was for five dollars. just write it off. If it was for five hundred, cancel it. there is a cancel fee, so determine if it is worth cancelling or not by the amount it was written for.

Is there any balance in your account ? If no, no need to do any thing. Other wise issue stoppayment instruction to the banking authority.
