What is your favorite punk band, and why?

DEVO ! Or that's as close to punk that I listen to. I liked listening to them in the 80s and I still like alot of their songs.

If it's punk band, I'll choose Cherry Filter from Korea. The band consists of a girl and 3 boys, which the girl is the lead siger and she really has a punk-yet-feminine voice. I really admire her! If it's just a band, I'll choose Fahrenheit Fei Lun Hai, because the boys are so cool and their songs rock!

I have several:
NOFX - Fast and prolific.
Me First and the Gimme Gimmes - those covers (as previously mentioned)
Operation Ivy - Ok, so they're ska, shut up
Ramones - Hey... they're the original
Dead Kennedy's - First "political" punk that I can actually tap my toes to.
Descendants - Because of Anarchy Burger...
Lower Class Brats - They're from Texas, as am I
Fearless Iranians From Hell - Also from Texas, and awesome.
The Vandals - One of the first bands I got into... and they're funny.
There are more, but I haven't slept and cannot think straight.

Bad religion. Great lyrics great musicians great everything. Although I must say that I like the earlier work better than the more recent stuff.
