This is more a womans question but I wanted to make a comment because people always seem to put these stars on a pedestal and they are really no different from anyone else.
If you research most big stars most got into the business cause their parents are producers or actors as well. Not cause they had any more talent that any other person could develop out there.
Regina's comments above me are right on about how to make your skin look good. I am a personal trainer and exercise and diet are most important. What she wrote sums it up so I wont repeat it.
I can tell you that almost always, the stars look the way they do entirely through the use of spray tans, their own personal make up artists, stylists and plastic surgery. Have you ever seen Cameron Diaz, Madonna, Cher, Spears, or other big celebs when they are caught by paparazzi without make up? Half the time you won't even recognize them. They look like entirely different people. Many are airbrushed as well in magazine spreads.
Have you ever watched the Surreal Life show with the female models and celebs?....half of them are drinking during the show, and many smoking. Not exercising much and eating all kinds of junk and partying. Many wont even allow themselves photographed without first having a make up artist work on them. Lets talk about some of the big most photographed attractive stars we see all the time....Paris Hilton - drug and alcohol issues, very average looking but is a huge sex symbol and looks good when made up. Nicole Ritchie - Heroin addict (recovering), drug and alcohol probs, eating disorders; Spears - In rehab for drugs and alcohol- sex symbol, Lindsay Lohan - In rehab for alcohol but looks really hot. The list goes on... but if you look at them you would never know most of the time that they are not taking good care of themselves....
Just watch those makeover shows (I dont mean the plastic surgery ones) and see what they do for an average housewife. Imagine having someone doing that for you everyday....best hairstylists, make up artists, designers picking out your clothes..etc...
The moral is that probably all of the girls who made comments on here look just as good if they wanted to as the stars... dont worry about what they do...just follow good guidelines and take care of yourself. GOOD LUCK

Aside from having makeup artists, professional lighting and camera tricks, spray tans, $450 creams, the best beauticians in the world, and personal cosmetic surgeons, they often do follow a special diet.
That would be a diet rich in Omega 3, 6, and 9 Essential Fatty Acids. These are anti-inflammatory. A diet rich in fatty acids will cause skin to be less inflamed, making it glowing and healthy looking. The key is a diet rich in fish (salmon), olive oil, flaxseed, and nuts.
Avoid alcohol (or drink lots of water if you must drink) and smoking. Foods that are high on the glycemic index and spike blood sugar are also thought to contribute to the ageing of skin by forming AGE's. All you really need to know is to avoid refined sugars and carbohydrates as much as possible. Eat lots of brightly coloured veggies instead.
Take anti-oxidant and Omega 3 supplements, and avoid tanning. Moisturize and exfoliate daily. Use good quality skincare products, or at the very least, products right for your skin type.

they use LOTS of MAKEUP. Not all of them have perfect skin, just really good techniques of hiding it.
