It happens to me ALL THE F*CKING TIME! And after hours of tearing the house apart, it is sitting there where it should be even though I already looked there 12,000 times!

My guess is that, while you're away from the tv, the cat tunes in the Shopping Network and then forgets to put the remote back on the couch.

Too many people in my family keep an eye on it- hence it gets lost a lot...I found it once in the fridge...where my two year old had carefully left it.

its usualy down the side of the cushion on the settee, my dad turns the t.v over then puts it on top of the t.v, this to me makes no sense lol, but he never loses it lol.....
