There a lots of way to learn yoga.

1. take classes from a yoga instructor.

2. Dawn Groves wrote a good book on yoga.

3. there are yoga videos and DVDs.

Basicly understand your limits, physical pain means something is wrong, and you should not push your body any farther.

If you have never done Yoga before, then attending a class would be better for you than reading a book initially, since the instructor will be able to correct any of your positions - particularly parts you can't see - and it is less likely that you will get this guidance from books. Check out classes in your local area. If there aren't any, then I would still suggest a video / dvd rather than a book - Rodney Lee has some very good ones (if you are in the States). : )
