I've been reading up on the alpha personality trait and it seems to explain why jerky *** macho guys usually get the girls. It pretty much makes sense!

So pretty much the doom to any great mans prowess, is to show any kind of weakness or insecurity. I think that's where women have an advantage over males in the homosapien culture. It's expected if a woman has any weakness but if a guy has any kind of weakness it's a total catastrophe!

That's a really great question, and, as a girl who cares about men's rights just as much as women's, I find it just as troubling as you do. But let me try to explain something to you.
Girls/Women are only INITIALLY attracted to these alpha male types, because it is in our biological makeup to do so. But, (and that's a big but) when some time passes, no self-respecting woman would continue to find this type of man attractive, because we learn that even though he may be ultra-assertive/aggressive, he is also a jerk and immature.
You should understand that it is not important for only men to be confident, but for women to be confident as well. Insecurity in either gender is a major turn-off. Men don't need to be 100% confident at all times. It's impossible, and unhealthy, b/c we all need to be emotional and uncertain at times. A man who respects himself and has confidence, but also knows when to accept that he has no control over certain things, is a real Person, not just a boy or a man.
What's important for men and women to understand is that "being a man" or "being a woman" mean nothing in and of themselves. Being a Person does. Men and women need to stop thinking in terms of "what does it mean to be a man/woman?" and start thinking in terms of "what does it mean to be Human/an Individual?" Knowing who you are as a person is the realest and most powerful kind of confidence you can have, and also the most attractive, both physically and spiritually. Once you have developed that kind of confidence, meeting the right person for you will be so much easier, and all biological bull**** and gender-brainwashing will be rendered meaningless.

There are different ways to be the alpha male. You could be successful at your job. You could be a good provider. You could be the husband or boyfriend who can fix things around the house. You could be a decision maker. You could be good at a sport or activity that excels you. I know the girls will get pissed at me but most if not all women want a kind, gentle, sensitive but manly man. What I mean by manly is that we want someone to take care of us. We want someone that we can count on to step up and take a little control when times are tough. Not too much control. We want to feel secure.

"The 'girls' will grow up into women. Women are wiser than girls. In short, it may seem like this to you now but 'this too, shall pass'. You sound so very young; hang in there."
Beautiful response, Baba Yaga. You just forgot one tiny thing.
Men do not care NEARLY as much about sexual relationships as boys (man-boys, actually) do. The hormonal urges are strongest during our teens to early twenties, not afterward, which is EXACTLY the time when girls choose to ignore decent and respectable males for the assholes. Furthermore, couples aren't supposed to be "best friends;" they're supposed to be lovers and complements. You can find a best friend in just about anyone, but you don't get MARRIED to one.

Not only will a "nice guy" not get the girls, he'll be more likely to be abused by women too. Does this say anything about whether women are more or LESS kind and supportive than men?
