Replaced LCD on my Motorola v3 and now the earpiece doesn't work.?

Question

I have checked and double checked all the connections, I even refitted the broken lcd but the earpiece does not make a sound, if I switch to speaker that works ok.
I did a master and data reset before I fitted the lcd, could there be a setting that needs changing.
All other cables look okay. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you done the job yourself?

If not take it back to the person who fitted the lcd to get the job done properly.
