Yes it is possible and very easy if you are using Acronis Disk Director. Disk Director is a reliable partitioning utility that can resize, move, copy, split, or merge partitions without losing any data. In addition Disk Director has a useful feature OS Selector that will allow you to install 100 or more OSes on one computer. You can boot an OS from any partition on any hard disk or have several operating systems on the same partition. yes and no. it is possible, but the problem is, dos doesn't use a boot.ini file, but the up side is that windows 98 can be booted into a fully functional dos mode either by alt or shift +f8 during the boot, or booting 98 and shutting it down with the restart in dos mode option. the weight on the balancing beam of if this will work or nopt is your version of linux, it has to support dual booting between linux and windows, so have the appropriate version ready. to achieve this you must follow these steps:

1:partition your hard drive into 3 seperate partitions
2:install windows 98 on the first partition
3:while running 98, throw the xp cd in and chose new install and chose to install it on the second partition (if you want to be able to see the xp partition in 98, use the fat32 file system, same with linux)
4:put the linux cd in and boot it
5:install linux on the 3rd partition

when you start your computer the linux boot screen will appear and ask you if you want to boot linux, or from the first partition, if you chose linux, than linux boots, if you chose first partition than it will lead you to another screen which allows you to chose between 98 or xp, as well as giving you the button(s) to press for advanced options.

if you follow these directions than you will be set.

good luck
