need to get out of Ca I've been a carpenter out here for 10yrs. Need to move perferrly nice quit family that needs help (w boy)

I'd suggest that you do a job search, send out resumes and see what bites you get. Then I'd live in a motel to check out the city to see where to live and where not to live.
