Go to http://www.petpeopleplaces.com and sign up. That is a Site strictly for Pets and you can find Tons of info. You have to register before you can ask any questions though. There is NO Spam or Adware either, BUT to your question, take him to the VET ASAP this morning. You can put your Jpegs of your pet on the Site and you can have an Avatar also. Other members will be back in touch with you within 10 minutes and there are Vets that answers questions also, BUT they will only make suggestions as they cannot give you advise without seeing your Hamster. The Vets are just other members like we are.

Sometimes their feet can get caught in the spokes of those metal wheels and such. There isn't anything you can do for swelling. I don't think it will appreciate ice and there is no safe medicine to give it unless you go to the vet.

See if the foot looks better in the morning, if not then please take da ham to da vet. Especially if by accident you or someone else may have dropped it or something. :(

Take it to the vet, it may have a infection. Some rodents such as hampsters, rats, chincillas etc. can get a type of dryness on their feet from the shavings they then chew on their feet which causes small cuts which can get infected. If not treated with anibiotics, can cause the animal serious problems. Take care.
