Check out this link, and tell me if you think HHH would be where he is today if he didn't marry Steph.

I'm not trying to say that HHH doesn't have any talent, there are times when he actually entertains me, I just don't need to see him talking for tweny minutes about how great he is every RAW and being a boring heel champ 9 months of the year, which will probably happen when he gets back.

Ahh, Triple H what's the matter, can't stand anybody pointing out the dents in your hero's suit of armour?

Leese69- I'm not trying to say HHH doesn't have any talent, and you are right he did have several championships and several big pushes before marrying Steph, what I am saying is that at best he is good in the ring, and good on the mic, but he's no where as good as the push he receives, and he is not a guy who can carry a company, like Stone Cold, Rock, Flair, Hogan, Bret Hart, or even Foley, and the ratings have reflected that when he was champ.
Thank-you though for at least giving me an intelligent answer.

I can actually remember when Triple H was Terra Ryzing in WCW. I agree with you that if he hadn't married Vince's daughter he would not have become the household name he now is.

So? Triple H jobbed to Alex Wright at Starrcade one year in WCW. It was the worst booked show in the history of all time, I think it was in 94 or 95. Anyway, it says nothing about his talent, it just shows how oblivious WCW was to true talent. Look at Steve Austin and Brian Pillman, that's proof enough that they missed the boat on a lot of talented individuals, adding Triple H to this list only shows more proof in the pudding. I mean, these are the same people who buried Bret Hart's career, they can destroy anything good.

Also, you have to start from the bottom and work your way up. The past is the past, and it usually fades into obscurity as you get bigger. Anyone remember Rock's first gimmick? Flex Cabana? Didn't think so...

dude, i am sure you've watched wrestling long enough but HHH's star has been rising even before steph stepped into the picture...

put it this way, by marrying the daughter of the owner, the GAME put the icing on the cake... his marriage just sealed his status as the wrestler with the most influence/clout...

he was already a major political player prior to getting married with stepth. it only cemented his number 1 tag backstage.

oh yeah, the guy has talents.

Okay,if you are the talking about the wrestler who is in the wrestlemania main event each year.If you are talking about the wrestler who is a 10 times world heavyweight champion. If you are talking about the wrestler who has beaten nearly all of the best(just needs to beat bret hart now).

Triple h entertains all the time and he is in the list with the rock and stone cold, same goes for the undertaker

He was just stuck with a terrible gimmick as Terra Ryzin. Most popular, respected wrestlers have been stuck with cheesy gimmicks, so I don't see the big deal. It doesn't detract from where they are now or the fact that they are talented wrestlers.

He became popular and respected before he and Stephanie even started dating, so you can't logically use the argument that his success is because of that. They've only been together for about 6 years and only married for 3 years. He was a 3 time WWF champion before they even starting seeing each other.

Triple H has proven himself in the wrestling business and is one of the best modern-day heels around.
