Yes i know this sounds like a weird question...
you know how some people bite their nails? Well I bite the skin just AROUND my nails, like near the tip of my fingers. I do this when im nervous instead of biting my nails. Is this really weird? Is it bad? It doesn't hurt me and i dont ever bleed or have big chunks, I just bite of tiny bits of skin... nothing to make that big of a deal...
Does anyone have this problem?

i sometimes bite the skin around my nails, but i tend to stop myself as often as i can because i know how much bacteria is lingering on and around my nails. ::shudders::

i bite my nails, but no skin, and i have a thing about not biting my nails too short... i never get down near the skin. I've never heard of anyone doing that, but if you're not harming yourself it shouldn't be a problem!! ♥

i used to a lot!! and when my skin around the bottom of my nails peels, i would eat that off too! and my lip skin, the skin in the side of my jaw...omg, im a cannibal!!!

I do that too... And I also pull on the skin on the inside of my mouth when I'm bored...

Prader-willi syndrome people do that. Also people who have Lesch-nyhans will chew off their own lips.
