I was wondering if someone could give me a general estimate on the cost of closing costs on a $59,900 dollar home (in TX).

Depends. There are a lot of factors involved. The buyer's closing costs could be anywhere from $1,000 to $6,000. Ask a Texas loan officer. I recommend Julie at http://primelendingonline.com

Closing costs can vary widely!
Are you the seller or the buyer?
Your best bet is to call a Title agency in your town and ask for their estimate, if you are doing a For Sale By Owner, or ask the Realtor you're dealing with (if you're dealing with one).
If you're not actively engaged in a deal yet, the Title Company approach would be what I'd choose.
