the contents in the boxes r not important . it doesn't matter if u leave them all. i m in XI standard and was facing the same doubt. the final board exam is not very tough if u r thorough through your book. but the boxes ( both shaded and unshaded) r not impotant . those r for relaxation between studying with extra knowledge. Well u can rely on my words. I had got 90 in science in X .

NO the contents given in the coloured boxes will not be asked in the exams.It is just to give you an extra information about the topic.S.CHAND publication is really good for science especially for the students appearing for CBSE board exams.trust me you dont have to study the things given in boxes.

please read the preface in the beginning of d book, which clearly states that info in the boxes is EXTRA and will not be tested. this is written in the last but one para of d preface

ncert books are sufficient. in case you study those books heavily den actual you are able to score eighty-ninety%. After winding up ncert books attempt to remedy the pattern papers attainable in the industry
