I work 40 hours a week and go to school 16 hours a week and i make enough money for myself but i have to support my girlfriend because she is pregnant with our first child and its due in july, how can we get extra income? any money from our government? what can we do?

Go here. There is a screening tool telling you what you are eligible for,as far as government benefits go, and most states have a seperate screening tool.
She can get on WIC right now, too.

First of all you should of been useing birth control if you couldn't afford a baby in the first place. It so upsets me that people are out there having babies and can't pay for them. But yes sorry to say you need to get a second job and invest in birth control.

My wife is due in a couple of weeks,we barely making it financially and its stressfull. i'm getting a second job, but i don't know how u can do that when studing. Consider downgrading your rent, get a smaller place do anything to cut down bills...i dunno, turn off cable for a couple months, that's up to you. WIC helps , soon your kitchen will have tonnes of milk ,eggs and peanutbutter...well i guess thats good...that's all i can think of. I not to keen on welfare, that just keeps poor people poor.
