I've said this time and time again: I believe that we have been misrepresented. There are good and bad people in any country. We have a lot of power and have sometimes misused that power in history, but we aren't the only ones who have illustrated similar actions...but we take a lot of backlash.

Because they love to stick their noses in the wrong places and their style of helping is more of a personal gain. I know other countries have problems and done serious crimes but the US is not exactly helping if they are going to solve other countries problems. For the US to truly help, you need to let the country fix their own problems so they learn what not to do. LIke in the Philippines, you had the US soldiers secretly take out key terrorists when it was the job for the Philippine army to do it. It's nice but how can the philippine government combat them if the US is doing it for them? It's like the US wants other countries to be dependent on them.

Misconceptions and a lack of understanding. The jealousy argument that many people use doesn't fly to me. I think they end up getting sick of us though. If you go to another country, you'll realize how pervasive our culture and influence is. Compound this with our unchallenged military supremacy (and will to exercise it), and our fierce patriotism, a good amount of the world's people are bound to dislike us. Whether this is justified or not is open to interpretation, but what's important is that we are conscious of how we act and present ourselves. We are the most prosperous, powerful nation in the world, but sadly I think we are also the most arrogant. These perceptions will probably remain until a new superpower rises.

Also it would do us good not to take it personally.

Perhaps its the same reason why so many people dislike cops.

USA gets involved and takes sides in disagreements and conflicts all over the world. And of course taking one side in a conflict is a sure way to make the other side your enemy.

Only neutral countries such as Switzerland, Finland, and Sweden don't have a lot of enemies because they mind their own business and they don't get involved in foreign conflicts.

Envy. We are the most prosperous country on earth.

I think a lot of Americans hate America too.
They're called liberals.

They are a bully and they like encouraging democracy only in their country.Very selfish people according to my observation. No doubt they are the most developed democracy and economy but that should not be license to bully others. They will be their own destruction.Great Britain was once a super power.Watch out China,India and may be Russia are coming up and there is no stopping them no matter how Americans try it.
