Try Hot Red Raspberry (zinger) tea or green tea. Remember lots of water as well. The Red causes the uterus muscles to contract. The Green is soothing. Also consider looking at this site. It may help answer questions about why you could be late.

There are meds and herbs that can affect your cycle length and start/stop, but it NOT a good idea to tinker with Mother Nature unless your OB/Gyn says so... Most of those treatments have the potential to f*** up your repro-system so the doctors save them for special circumstances.

BTW: Using the Pill just to regulate your period is also turning out to be a bad idea... That used to be a common way to regulate pesky periods even in non-sexually active women, but hormones are best avoided if possible. Do that only with your OB/Gyn's permission.

If you haven't seen an OB/Gyn doc yet in your life (many in your situation never have), a quick consult might put your mind at ease. Period lengths are often highly variable for the first few years since the ovaries don't always release an egg every month while your equipment is still getting used to the routine... for most women, the length eventually regulates... My wife says, "Welcome to my world!" Don't listen to her... :-)

If you are working out a lot, sometimes this causes them to stop - If you are stressed out, school, final exams, etc. this too can affect your periods.

Have recently been sick, gained or lost a significant amount of weight, have been under excessive stress or have taken any new medications. All of these things can affect your menstrual cycle and cause you to have irregular periods. Additionally, certain types of birth control, including the birth control pill, Depo-Provera and Norplant, can cause you to have menstrual cycles disturbances.

Since you've been having your periods regularly for two years I'm assuming you are also having regular pap smear tests. If not then you should.

I don't think you can make your period start. There must be something causing it to be late. If it doesn't come or suddenly becomes late all the time, see a OB/GYN.

Excorcise can delay it. Or even stop it.
