Only if the player doesn't have any clubs in hand.
Rules are you play the suit that leads unless you don't have any, and then you have the option to trump with Spades.

yes, the two of clubs is only required to be led in Hearts. Not Spades. And if you are void in the leading suit in spades, you can trump it.

That is fine, it is not allowed in Hearts. I sometimes get the rules confused in Spades and Hearts, but, I am sure that you can break spades on the first round, if you do not have other cards.

The player to dealer's left leads any card except a spade to the first trick. Each player, in turn, clockwise, must follow suit if able; if unable to follow suit, the player may play any card.
The REAL rules ARE the rules...unless individuals change them.....it happens.

it all depends on the variation of the rules that are agreed upon at before starting the game. they way my friends and i play is that lowest club takes 1 trick (meaning we all play our lowest club and the highest out of the 4 takes the trick) and if someone has no clubs then they have to throw off with a heart or diamond.
