What if you don't know who started the rumors?

i worry little about misjudgment - or judgment period. you will never be viewed the way your desire to be, by everyone. knowing that the people who actually mean something to you, know who you really are and what you're about, that makes it easier to express your true self. the resistance knows you, take comfort. our strength is your strength.

Umm prove those rumors are fake and show how much better of a person I am by ignoring stupid immature things like that, eventually that "someone" will see that you dont care and feel stupid and see what a good person you actually are.

Or if your the rude/smart as$ type like me, lol, then do something to piss that person off or make them jealous ;-)

Both ways have worked for me and I LOVE it! I like the fact that I am able to prove people wrong and show them what a smart, respectful and good friend I really am!

Either way that person is making rumors up about you cause there jealous and envy you, its a typical everyday thing that people go through. Thats why you should just ignore it cause Im sure your better than that, why waste time trying to wreck that persons life instead of making her even more jealous of you by not caring and STILL having others liking and loving you.

No one is worth me fighting back unless they REALLY REALLY said the most worst thing possible! Other than that, jealousy these days... is just crazy popular! "What goes around comes around" Dont worry about it.

IF YOU DONT KNOW WHO STARTED THE RUMORS THEN ... PURPOSELY ACT DIFFERENT TOWARDS PEOPLE WHO YOU ASSUME STARTED THEM AND IF THEY COME TO YOU AND ASK WHY YOU ACTING LIKE THAT THEN SAY "CAUSE SOMEONE STARTED A RUMOR ABOUT ME AND IM NOT SURE WHO IT IS" If that person approaches you, then Im sure they probably didnt start it cause they obviously care why you are acting different towards them, get it?

Confront the person who started the rumors and explain to them that it is hurtful and very immature to spread rumors. You could tell them that people who are comfortable in their own skin don't feel the need to spread rumors about other people.

You will know who your true friends are because they will stand by you and support you.

"Let them say what they will say, just don't let them prove it." Lily Langtree circa 1890. Being misjudged and having rumors spread about you is always a possibility. Live your life the best you can, honest and open. Hopefully the truth will surface. Remember what goes around comes around.

I have never been faced with that problem, until i found out once that back in 4th grade or something like that, there was some rumors spread about me that my "best friend" started because she was jealous about some guy, and i never knew... my friends never confronted me and they never acted different because they wouldn't believe them, i guess i got lucky. If i had to face it today, i would just confront the person who started it, make them hear the facts, and guilt trip them into taking it back and making the rumors stop, or threaten them to do that or i'd start a worse one about them... though that could backfire. i don't know... guess i'd just let it go and have to explain the truth to anyone who acted stupid towards me. good luck! ♥

Oh man, I got sucked into this vicious cycle once. She started talking trash about me, and I passively confronted her in an email. That just fed her need for attention, and everything I said in the email was spread tenfold. I made one more attempt to figure out how to fix it, which again, became the only thing she had to talk about to anyone who would listen. I finally learned to ignore her, and distance myself from her on all levels. It felt very defeating at the time, because we all want "the last word", but it was just too emotionally draining, and truly not worth the effort. Last I heard, she had learned about a new personal problem I have, and decided that that was her new mission in life - to continue my humiliation, as publicly and loudly as possible...
All I can say is, try not to get wrapped up in it. Painful as it may be, it WILL go away, and people WILL see you (and that person) for who you and they really are.
Sorry you're going through it. I'll say a prayer for ya!
:-)

Kick their ***. :D, but seriously, if they maliciously spread the rumor and know it if not true then they deserve a good *** kicking. But if they really misjudged you, then you should sit them down and explain to them about how they misjudged you.

Simply prove them wrong through your actions. Usually people who operate like this are petty and jealous and everyone knows it. Besides, once the next big thing happens, the rumor about you will be forgotten.
