ive been thinking of majoring in product/transportation design..i would attend the art center of college and design that is not too far away from my home...but my question is when i complete all my courses and i have my degree in product and transportation design, how would i go about getting my career started? any suggestions or advice??

If you go for a engineering designer , then you have an apprenticeship..Usually you find work though the apprenticeship program


Go to the occupational handbook site. they have listing for jobs that include the following sections.

* Nature of the Work
* Working Conditions
* Training, Other Qualifications, and Advancement
* Employment
* Job Outlook
* Earnings
* Related Occupations
* Sources of Additional Information

They will tell you the national outlook for the job you pick. is it a growing field or should you pick a different career. at the site you can check on any career you want.
