its kind of why we have rainbows and why moths are ugly colors...
something along the lines of all the color in the world disappeared one day except for in the butterflies. people were becoming really sad and no one wanted to do anything anymore so some of the butterflies decided to sacrifice their color for the world. they gave the beautiful colors in their wings and made a rainbow which brought amazing color back into the world. and that's why we have moths today...theyre just the very generous butterflies that are willing to share their color =)

There was a movie with Snow White in which the seven dwarf were colorful. Each dwarf had clothes of a certain color: one was red, another yellow, another was blue...When they needed to go somewhere, they all lined up, combined their power and made a rainbow, which transported them to another location. If one of the dwarfs was missing, they could not make a rainbow, so they had to all get along and work together. They were very different individuals, but the rainbow helped them accept their differences and be a unity...For a gorgeous wonderful shining RAINBOW...

My five year old nephew once asked me where rainbows came from. I asked him where he thought it came from. He said the leprechaun made it so they can find their way to their hidden gold. I know he saw or heard about that somewhere so I asked him again where he thought the rainbow came from. He thought about and was all intense about his answer, it was soooo cute, he said that a rainbow was the first thing in the world and gave it's colors to the world, thats why everything is so colorful and beautiful because they come from the rainbow. He said that rainbows come when it rains because the earth is losing it's color and is asking for it back.

Go ask any neighborhood kid between 5 and 8 years old. You'll get some really good (original) ideas.
