Hi, I am Mrinal Purohit from Jodhpur. I am in twelfth standard and I hold a very subtle key to your question.
You know what Swami Vivekanada said when he was asked a similar kind of question ? He told that India is lagging behind because "SHAKTI is hold in dishonor here", and here lies the key.
First of all we are not confident about ' what we can do' but on the other hand a student of US know that he can do anything because they belong to the most powerful nation.
The other most important point which we need to consider in this regard is that we should not take government efficiency as the only parameter to judge that wether we will become developed or not? What we need to introspect is that 'Are we doing our part'??
THIS IS THE QUESTION !
We should not forget that what vedas have to say. Vedas are the oldest literature available in the world; and those vedas say
"Spirituality is something which could help a nation to rise". We should take this seriously.
So what I mean to say is that we should not only depend on government's initiatives, rather we ourselves should come forward to expedite the intiatives.
Finally, MY WORDS
I don't say "make plans", plans will grow themselves. I only say "AWAKE, AWAKE AND GO AHEAD".
Thank you and have a nice day.

India becomes a developed country the moment you start developing it, in fact yourself.
It comes in every Indian's mind but we are under the misconception that What can I alone do?How much can I alone change the world?
To count millions, 1 is the beginning. The Government is not able to develop because "we", are not able to develop ourselves as an Individual. We are very well aware of the fact that Government is the people but the blame goes on the representatives who are serving us.
So,develop urself, help your fellow beings ,ur neighbours, ur freinds and you have developed the country, you know. Each time u help someone, request them to help atleast 2 other people. Thus u have helped the whole country.
Feel the resonsibility of being a part of the developing INDIA and be a reason for its DEVELOPMENT.
ALL THE BEST.
-A proud INDIAN.

I think India will be developed by 2020 if our ministers and our citizens do work towards the progress of our country.

As soon as the Indian tectonic plate collides with the european tectonic plate.
No seriously... only european nations consider themselves developed, while the rest of the world is 'third world'

Elimination of corruption will make India hurdle its status as a developing country and will become a rich country because of its booming economy particularly the IT sector.

INDIA IS OVERDEVELOPED IN ALL FIELDS (good & bad)
I feel in some of the unnecesary fields it should be underdeveloped, then it will automatically be a developed country. (how long it will take for India to underdevelop in such fields?)
