Natural Pine does not look bad with Oak. I moved my sons crib into our oak themed room and didn't look bad at all.
I personally am not a big fan of white as the stain generally fades and scratches show so much more. (When baby starts teething or hitting the crib with toys)
Oak is a good choice though :-) It's timeless. Good luck

Either one.... I would go ahead and get the oak if it matches your stuff..... then get a girly crib set... It will be just fine, and think you can use it again with the next baby and if it is a boy then great, I couldn't see a little boy in a pasty white crib.... :)

I would not go with white. Think about dirty hands, colors and all kinds of good things the baby is going to be putting on a nice pretty white crib.

I also have my baby in my bedroom and i still wanted to create that small space just for him. On that wall that his crib is against to he has a few decorative things on the wall, matching clock and a border. So i would suggest that you make her space hers, maybe even paint that wall a matching color, i will look adorable in the pictures, if i ever have the blessing of having a baby girl i would for sure buy the cutest thing i saw at target, a crib in a beautiful soft PINK. what whatever you decide to do, make sure to pick it yourself and do it or put it together on your own, they'll be great memories forever. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went for the plain rather then white so that my next would be able to use it even if I had a boy. You spend so much on them for a short amount of time. My oldest was in a toddler bed at 1 and my baby is in her old crib now and I have her toddler bed waiting

OMG i was in babies r us a week ago and they have the nicest Black cherry wood set. i know it sounds grim but its SOOO nice looking the whole set. its not solid black its just extreeeemly dark wood gives the appearence of bblack. and they had it decorated so well in the store with this cream and green i know its hard to picture but i really was beautiful. only for a boy tho i wouldnt do it for a girl. i would definitely pick that if i had a boy for a girl i would pick oak.
