Write down an outline of the text that you are studying. If you are studying from notes, copy them over. It seems tedious but it keeps your mind from wondering so that you stay focused on the topic you are studying. If you find history dull, then it is defintely a good idea to study for fifteen minutes of so a night rather than trying to cram it all in before a big test.
It also could be helpful to seek out other sources about the topic you are learning about in school. A lot of history texts that they use in schools are very dull, but you can find books in the history or sociology sections of your library or bookstore that are more interesting and may hold your attention better.
Good luck.

Hi JJ,
Try studying the subject in the morning, or whenever you're rested and refreshed. Also, try repeating back to yourself (summarizing) what you just read, so that you have to pay attention and really focus in on what you're studying.
Good luck! :)
