x- 6/21=6/7
add 6/21 to both sides
(reduce ratio by factoring out 3)
x=6/7 + 2/7
they have common denominators now so add the numerators
x=(6+2)/7= 8/7

If
x - 6 / 21 = 6/7
x = 6/7 + 6 / 21
x = 18/21 + 6 / 21
x = 24/21
x = 8/7

If
(x - 6) / 21 = 6/7
x - 6 = 6*21/7
x = 18 + 6
x = 24

If
x - 6 / 21 = 6/7
x = 6/7 + 6 / 21
x = 18/21 + 6 / 21
x = 24/21
x = 8/7

If
(x - 6) / 21 = 6/7
x - 6 = 6*21/7
x = 18 + 6
x = 24
