As long as you didn't drive the vehicle. Drain the system and put in clean fluid and you will be O.K.

It catches fire 3 seconds after you turn it on. :) No, I did that once back in my teenage years, and it was okay. A friend of mine who was a mechanic said, although it wasn't advisable, it wouldn't hurt it. I'm assuming you didn't put several quarts in there?

Okay, Andrew F, so I'm not the most mechanically minded person in the world. :) I did drive the vehicle afterwards without draining it, and I didn't have any problems. I'm sure it would be better to drain it and refill with power steering fluid.

i assuming you didnt put several quarts in there either (since it only holds about 8 ounces and there arent really any lines on a power steering pump)but any way get a turkey baster or any other suction device and siphon the fluids out of the resovoir and then refill with fresh fluid.

Don't worry about...you should be able to drain it from one of the lines...run some more power steering fluid through the system and drain it again...
