There's nothing wrong with doing a solo with anything you choose. As long as you solo with emotion behind the scale you use, you can use whatever you want. A solo isn't good just because it's so complex that no one can figure out what the heck you're using. If a minor pentatonic bluesbox fits what you want it to sound like, then use it. I personally have a habit of using the harmonic and melodic minor 7 scales but use whatever you want dude! Rock out!

Go for it man. I use to do that. What you can do is just try new things like mixin up the frets. I found new scales I made up my self this way.

There is nothing wrong with it. Allot of good leads use just that scale and they are great.

Give it a shot, try anything, if it sounds good to you practice it, you have to experiment ! i always used to experiment it`s fun and you`ll be suprised what new things you can find. always try new things or you may get stuck in rut.
