Everyone know you go to work and you get paid for the work you do, that make sense right? It is eight hours a day for 8 hours of pay? Than why to so many people get offended when you give them work in the office I have had people make snippy snappy comments, complainin and moan about too much work or even curse at me under thier breath for putting THIER work on thier desk. (I used to have to take a cart and deliver files to each desk). IF you are making 30,000 a year you are going to get 30 thousand dollars a year worth of work.
It is like people dont like work and act like work is a bad thing and when asked to do extra act like "its not my job" or that is beneath me. Why are people like this? It took me a long time to acutally find a job that I was good at and I had a lot of failure before I tasted success I thank God that I had the work because that is what paid the rent and bills.

Why do people have such a negative attitude about work?

Hi

I don't understand why people do that! I feel that if you are getting paid to work, then you WORK! I am one of those irritating people who will always ask if there is anything I can do more at work, when I am finished with one task. I think it has to do with a persons background and which era they were born in. Unfortunately I think it is going to get worse. We are in a ME FIRST generation. " What is in it for me" kind of attitude. Well if they don't want to do their job properly, they are the only ones that are gonna pay!!!

Hello,
don't be upset with them, there are lot's of other employees who are much more responsible and are happy to do their job. People are different. These who complain should simply change their job for something else. No point to waist your life for the work, which you hate and every new task you accept as a new challenge.
When you like what you do and at the same time get money for this, complains will hardly cross your mind.

Who did the hiring of these people.

They may be lazy, but they may be overworked as well, does the work get done?? if so they are probably just griping, because they think they shouldn't actively encourage more to come their way. Management should adopt a work environment which encourages the people to feel happy to come to work and do their best. That way everyone wins.

It is a problem in every work place.I have done it myself.Same on me.If you hear an employee curse you ,ask them if they are looking for another job.
When the comments come, just say I am thankful I have a job.
Remember that a soft answer turns away anger. But we are not doormats for people.Let a boss know who your problem people are, then have a dead wood layoff.<><

Because too many parents raise spoiled brats. They may grow up and get jobs, but, deep down, they're still spoiled brats.
