Happened to me one dark night on my motorbike. The expression is 'to loose the road'. For me there was the curious feeling at around a 100 mph that the bike and me had seperated and I was suspended in the air. That feeling didn't last for long as another feeling began to kick in. The feeling that only a torn shoulder muscle can give you.
