There are so many reasons why schools want their pupils in uniform, First, in order for them to recognize who are really their students. Second, to eliminate outsiders to enter the school campus. Third, to encourage simplicity of the pupils and to eliminate competition among the status of the pupils, since those have more income had beautiful dress to wear than those who had below income level. In other words, school only want the safety of their pupils.

Because there are a lot of children who can't afford name brand clothes and every pair of new shoes. How do you think it feels to see, not just someone, but everyone, dressed better that you? It probably makes that person feel bad, so that's why I think they came out with wearing uniforms in the schools. So everyone'll be dressed the same.

My school order their students use uniform just on monday, the rest is free-trousers and shirts. i think in the beginning, the rule is to make the equality between the students, so the the rich and the poor can't be differed, but now i think its just as formality.

It's part of the education process... discipline, care for your belonging, responsability, so on and so forth.
It help's to notice when there is a visitor. Helps to differentiate one school's student's from another. And in a way, it even help's parent save money... not having to buy new clothes "for school", a few shirts, pants, shoes and done.

A uniform keeps kids from wearing offensive things, or gang colors.
They also help kids from having to worry about fashion in school.
