Cristiano by far even though Gerarrd is great player , but there is more potential in Ronaldo .
without him his team wouldn't be in the position it is right now . If u ask me who is the best player I'll say Ronaldinho but Cristiano ronaldo isn't far away he comes second by only little difference . Give Cristiano a couple of years and he will most definitely be the best player in the world that guy is a lump of potential and we havn't seen nothing of it yet. I truly believe that he has taken Football to a completely different level at such a young age .

If I am building a football team, I would prefer to have Steven Gerrard. Cristiano Ronaldo is also a great football player, but he tends to dribble too much and lose possession a lot of times.
Gerrard isn't playing well this year, but he is still a leader of Liverpool, he contributes leadership and defense when he isn't at the top form to contribute offense. On the other hand, when Ronaldo isn't at his top form to contribute on offense, he isn't the useful of a player. I would say Gerrard is better overall and a better leader, Ronaldo is more creative and a better offensive player.

if you asked that question last year i would have laughed i would have said gerard by a mile. this year gerard wouldnt have a look in with ronaldo. gerard is to inconsistent look at the match when they played united gerard was useless were ronaldo especially in the first half was untouchable hes haven a top class season a real contender for world player of the year he should win it. dont get me wrong gerard is still a world class player he just cant compete with the class of ronaldo.

Both players are very good and really help Man U and Liverpool remain prominent clubs in both the English leagues and in UEFA action. Right now, to me, the better of the two is Cristiano Ronaldo.
