Hi I have a 2 gallon tank with 3 red bellied pacus and a suckerfish for cleanup. I want 1 more tankmate. What would do best? I like bright colored fish.

OMG are you crazy? You have 3 PACU?!?!?!?! In a 2 gallon tank? Did you do any research at all before you bought the fish? Do you KNOW how big Pacu get? They can get up and over 30 inches long and grow FAST. With that many fish you would need preferably and 1000 gallon tank yes ONE THOUSAND gallons. Obviously the pet store you bought them from are a bunch of liars out for a quick buck. They should warn you about the size they will reach. Take your fish back and demand a refund you cant possibly care for them.

BESIDES 2 gallons is FAR to small for the amount of fish you have in there anyway. Even if they werent going to grow any bigger

Add a redtail cat. They come from the same area, are very personable and will probably not be able to eat a full grown pacu. They reach a max length of about 6-7 feet so they should do fine in your tank.

This one has to be a joke! If it isn't I shudder in horror. Pacu are HUGE and needs a giant tank, 3 of would be like a 75g tank at least. Please say your kidding.

chevron's are good. we have orange one's although I've seen bright yellow one's too. Keep in mind though that pacus can get very large.

I would return the other fish that get too big and get one betta for your tank.I think that's the only fish that would be happy in that size of tank.
