Isnt it a term republicans use to justify their reasons for haste and waste and their corruption in governement? Nothing more than that.
People arequick to label anyone that opposes billions of mispent dollars, governement corruptions, and everythign else this administration has tried to cover up.
And it seems popular that when any channel, paper or radio show REPORTS these findings, illegalities or whatever you want to label them as -- its always the same response -- theyre liberal.
Heck even that republican congressman in todays CIA leak hearing asked the lady if she was democrat or republican.
It seems that liberal biased is the republicans way of justifying thei actions and trying to argue against anyone that tries to prove their hidden agendas?
Am I correct on this?
O'reilly example
who devotes half hi show to pointing the figner at everyone claiming they are this and they are that when its him who is the one thats actually the culprit of the very SPIN his no spin propogates

Il confessw, I like to watch O'Reilly just to see how absurd he is going to get.
Its like watching a train wreck.
Mostly I think Im hoping hes going to go off the edge and Ill finally see the final straw that gets him booted.
Every other word this o'reilly guy says and every other choosen news report by FOx (unless its entertainment) is hypocrisy.
Its something I watch as I would a two headed baby.
intruged confused and alittle scared

Liberal biased reporting is a myth. Most media outlets are owned by corporations who have a conservative slant. Most reporting reflects the conservative slant of the owners. Fox news is the strongest example of this. To get a truely balanced view of the news takes work. Most Americans don't want to, or don't feel they have time to, make that effort. Going online to newspaper websites and reading the news from different viewpoints is the best thing to do, then make your own decision. Read a Canadian, British or international paper online. How does the viewpoint compare to your local paper?

I saw Dan Rather speaking about how news departments were once unbiased reporting outlets that were independent of a TV station's rating department. Back in the 80's the TV stations began to treat their news departments like any other show. The stories were subject to network approval and the news directors no longer had independence. When this happenned, many of the networks took on an entertainment aspect. So, instead of reporting the "facts", the news departments started reporting the "facts" with a spin that would entertain the audience. Newspapers used to restrict opinions to the editorial page, but now, the lead stories in many papers can reflect the bias of the reporter.
This happenned on both the liberal and conservative sides. As it is now, it is very difficult to find unbiased news on TV, and many people don't even know what it was like to see news that was written with the goal to "inform the public in an unbiased way".
Is there an overwhelming liberal bias in the current media? Probably, but that's more due to the fact that the current target (the president) is republican. During the Clinton years, it was much more entertaining to attack the Democrats, and so, the bias was much more conservative.
This doesn't excuse the fact that the current administration is doing some outrageous things in the name of "security" or that our civil rights are being taken away. But, then again, who's going to miss their civil rights? It's not like they're taking money out of my pocket, right? Whether you're a liberal or a conservative, you should be concerned when your phone could be tapped, your emails read, and your home searched without the need for just cause. There are people in this country who have been imprisoned without due process and are being tried without the right or habeas corpus.
Let's stop calling each other names and realize that the rights that made us all Americans are slipping away right before our eyes.

No it can't be ?! There's a liberal bias in media? Let's see if we can name them commie pinkos now so everyone will know who they are, of course you have to start off with the well known liberal Pat Buchannan and we can't forget the flaming lefty Tucker Carlson, and I'm sure we want to help Wolf Blitzer paint up his code pink protest signs. Now I don't want this to get around but do you know that Sean Hannity once gave a hug to Stephanie Miller he's gotta be a closet liberal. What about Ann Coulter she is a guest on a lot of shows and I think almost all of the cross-dressers are liberals aren't they? I've only just begun and look how much space I've used and I've yet to get to that hippie Rupert Murdoch and his newspapers or all them radio lefties. I'll stop now having used so much space.

IF YOU CAN'T FIGHT THE MESSAGE (probably because it's true)... destroy the messenger (the media)
to do this... all you have to do is put doubt about it's accuracy... if Republicans are in control of the congress and presidency (which they were) ... Republicans can say "they only report the bad stuff about Republicans"
when in fact... the media always reports the bad stuff and those in charge make the decisions... so by default, the media will be focusing more on Republicans, since they are making the decisions, since they have a majority...
so it looks like they are "picking on them" if you're a fan... only because they are MAKING ALL THE DECISIONS and of course, they will mess up somewhere... as any polician does...

Liberal bias is this...PERFECT example...in the news lately, the media has made a big stink about the fact that 8 US attorneys were fired at once by the "Bush administration" But you hear NOTHING about the fact that Bill Clinton fired ALL the Us attorneys at once in 1993,nearly 100 of them,INCLUDING the 4 that were investigating Mrs. Clinton at the time....The CLEAREST case of liberal media bias I can think of.

its apparently anything done outside of the fox news channel.. i think they would even see those free autotrader magazines at the gas station as liberally biased
i can see oreilly saying something like this..
"as you can see from the front page, there is only one american made auto featured, while there are two volvos. obviously the editors of this magazine show a bias towards sweden, a country well-known for its liberal leanings and anti-capitalist social consciousness. thats why i am asking all of my listeners to boycott this magazine.."

Whenever I start watching O'reilly i can't stop... It's like I'm hypnotized by his Swirl of hypocrisy. But as a confessed liberal I wonder, is it as frustrating for a conservative to watch a show with a more liberal spin to it as it is for me to watch O'reilly?

All I hear on TV is people ripping the conservatives......so how did they win back to back elections? I guess the masses have spoken. Even with the liberal media mudslinging, the cons still one. God bless America. Now, let's get our panties in a bundle and give me a thumbs down!!!
