I think I just might have lost my mucus plug, but I am not sure. This is my first pregnancy, and I'm not sure what it actually is or what it will be. Thanks

I am not sure what is going on, I've had a bad pounding headache all day, and my back has been a lil sore, hope this means labor is approaching. Thanks also for the help! :)

well lost mucus plug is a good sign..but probably wont help you enough for monday morning. it is usually whitish or yellowish maybe with a pink tinge, it may come in small clumps or just one big glob (it kinda looks like snot) but for the induction they told me to eat a light breakfast (1/2 a bagel or something like that) then when you go in depending how ripe your cervix is they will give you meds for your cervix (but if you are already dialated they most likely wont) then they start you on potocin. they start it at the lowest dosage and slowly up it every hour until you get maxed out. within a few hours you will start feeling those contractions and they will come hard and fast. they will also break your water once the contractions are comming very regular..then many hours later you welcome a new baby. also not to freak you out but many inductions end up in c sections, just want you to be prepared. goodluck and congrats.

the plug is different, for some women it's a like a cork that comes out. For others it's like THICK snot that comes out over a period of days. It sure is weird, huh? Drink lots of fluids when you get into the hospital, don't eat much. Rest on your left side. (stay off your back) and change positions often.
I know you've waited so long, but it's important to relax and let your birth happen. It may take like 17 hours or more. not 17 hours of agony just boredom and more waiting. So get all the rest you can, and take it easy.
Good luck, best wishes, and congratulations!

Your mucus plug is a sometimes thick and pinkish substance and if you lost that it could be up to a couple of weeks before you go into labor. I have had 4 children I know. Why are you being induced? I carried all of my children 10 months. Relax its a beautiful thing

From my experience and what I have also heard is that you will lose your mucus plug about three to five days before you will actually go into labor. It will just look like a patch of tan colored plug or discharge. That is what I can recall and also from what I have heard. I hope that this helps

It is different for each pregnancy. With my last, the only reason I knew I had lost it was because I saw a little snot like stuff in my underwear, with a few minutes I started leaking fluid. It is best to contact your Dr. now.

i replaced into forty-one weeks 5 days whilst ihad my first woman. They have been going to bring about me day after immediately and he or she got here by helself. they prefer to bring about you as you have a great toddler and that they are frightened approximately how plenty larger the toddler will improve mutually as they await you to come back clearly. you prefer to keep away from the c-area. you have the toddler before monday yet whilst no longer perhaps getting prompted is the perfect ingredient. It skill you get to work out your toddler with a bit of luck on monday.
