i had a doctors appt set up for the 27th of march for a pregnancy. I had a miscarriage a day ago, but my doctors still wants me to come in to see her. since my husband and i will be ttc when my cycle becomes normal again (like 3 months), could i ask my doctor to go ahead and perscribe a prenatal vitamin for me? or would that be out of line for me to ask her?

Totally fine to ask. Doctors want us to take them before, during and after. Though there is not any studies that show prenatals help with conception, there are tons that show that the folic acid in them prevent many problems in the baby.

Best of luck

I would go on them, your body would be all the more ready to take care of a baby. Not out of line at all, you are TTC therefore you need Pre-Natal vitamins to stay completely baby ready healthy.

Yes you can ask your doctor for prenatals. They usually recommend that you take prenatals at least before 3 month trying to conceive.

It would be just fine to ask for pre-natal vitamins. It's actually best to be on them before ttc.

So sorry about the miscarriage. I wish you all the luck in conceiving soon!

it's ok to take prenatals when ttc. you can even take them for up to 2 years after giving birth.

nope you can ask her, or better yet you can buy them over the counter. but if you can get them for free then ask. they actually recommend you use prenatals while ttc or breastfeeding. my dr actually told me they are the best vitanims i could ever take. (preg, ttc, breastfeding, or just as a daily vit.)
