Firstly, PLEASE USE THE SPELL-CHECKER!!!

I haven't read the article, but I'll say this. I live in Britain, which has gone from a Christian country, just fifty years ago, to a largely secular one. We largely retain the Christian ethos of "Live and Let Live", if someone does us no harm, we do them no harm back.
There has been a large influx of Muslims from the Middle East. They bring a faith with them, which is largely intolerant of non-Muslims. That's the nub of the problem - "Death to the infidel unbeliever" - I know it is an extreme attitude, and not many Muslims act on it, but some feel that way, and this plays into the hands of the racists in this country, those who can't just get along and enjoy life without stirring up dischord and trying to blame all of lifes problems on someone with skin darker than theirs is. As for many of those who would consider themselves the secular intelligentsia, they find it somewhat depressing that people in 2007 are still in thrall to the ceremonies and rituals of prostration and subservience before a god, any god.
I just try to get along with everyone.

Peace, Sister.

That's a subjective question. It all depends upon whom you ask. Also, that article mentions nothing about doomsday nearing or distant. It sounds like a political personality standing up for what she believes is right. Maybe a particular group is being blamed for doing bad things around the world because they are.

Is it wrong to be Muslim? No, not in general, if that's your choice.

But, in my opinion, it's wrong to be a Muslim and go out and kill people with a back-pack of explosives. It's wrong to be a Muslim, go out to preach hate and urge followers to riot, kill or force someone else to believe the same way. I could and would substute the word Muslim with any number of words in this context such as Christain, Jewish, German, English, Scotch, American, etc.

No one has the right to go into a crowd of innocent people and shoot or them just because they aren't of the same class or sect.

Because of extremists, it reflects badly upon the whole community of Muslims. That's just a fact of human nature. The only way to overcome such is denouncing such acts. The Muslim community will have to try extra-hard to show that they are above such things.

It's not wrong to be anybody. We all the same in essense and we want the same things for ourselves and our children. Unfortunatly, the world is not a single country and does not employ the same philosophy everywhere. There are still places out there that concider slavery to be ok, where exploiting children for profit is ok, where treating women unequaly is ok. Some people are willing to change their ways for the sake of a better oportunity, but unfortunatly most people are not willing to change and rather want to change others. The number of muslims that want to get out of Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, and so forth is very large and in groups (not as individuals) they want to change others. It's a new religious war that hasn't been officially waged on the world. The changes are too abrupt and drastic, so the flow of people has to be reduced for the changes to be more suddle and less stressful. People want to hang on to their beliefs and rituals, but something/someone has to give. Equality can only exhist, when everyone believes and loves the country they live in and do this without the exploitation of others (including the government). Live with this reality everyone is affraid of change (including you).

I think you may not understand the problem. The article referenced Great Britain, France, and the Netherlands as having problems after allowing a great influx of Muslim Immigrants into the country. The experience in those countries suggest Muslims are disruptive to the non-Muslim societies.

Once the Islamic community gets large enough they use legal and illegal means to try to force surrounding neighborhoods to follow Islamic practices. The liberal "let's have more diversity" philosophy caused them to give in to the Islamic pressure. Eventually, Muslims took over large portions of the cities and virtually forbade the historic culture to exist in their areas of influence.

You need to understand, Muslims do not want to live in peace with you - they want to convert you. They believe that all persons MUST be Islamic or die. Terrorists do not pretend to be Muslim - they are Muslim.

In the Netherlands the newspaper printed some cartoons that Muslims found offensive. (These were offensive, in some cases, simply because they drew a picture of Mohammad. No pictures of the Prophet are allowed under Islamic law.) There were riots in the Netherlands and death threats from throughout the Muslim world.

Do not believe that you can peacefully coexist with people who believe their purpose in life is destroy your culture to make room for theirs. Either get a burka or resist.

I am a firm believer in a person's right to choose to worship or not to worship the God of their choice. The muslim religion is not the problem per se.

The problem arises when millions of muslim children are taught that any non-muslim must be either converted or exterminated. Similar to the Hitler youth, they are brainwashed into thinking this is okay. The sickening thing is that these muslims honestly think they are doing the right thing when they blow themselves to bits along with many innocent people.

The simple fact is that in every conflict going on in the world today, islamofascism is at the heart of the problem. Sudan, Chechnya, Iraq, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq, Somalia just to name a few.

I am not a Muslim but I have Muslim friends and I know they have suffered a lot in recent years.People going out of their way to avoid talking to them in shops, being stared at when entering a cafe, having abuse shouted at them in the streets and so on.

It's so unfair to blame a whole religion for what a few nutters decide to do.

No, it's not wrong to be a Muslim, or anything else for that matter. You'll find the majority of people agree with this. It's a shame that our Politicians don't feel the same way, or always try to portray Muslims in the wrong light as insane fanatics. Anyone with half a brain knows that is not the case.

Please!!!! Muslims come into places where a belief system has been in place for ever and want to kill everything in their path because it does not agree with Islam, but you are whining about how Muslims are treated???? You ppl ALWAYS try to blame all of the destruction Islam brings with it on a hand full of ppl. NO WAY!!! It was not some hidden tiny group of angry Muslims that rioted ,all over the world, over a cartoon. And , if I might add, they caused a lot of destruction, over a cartoon. YET it is supposed to be alright for them to burn our flag, make effigies of our leaders, burn our Churches and Synagogues, ETC., ETC., the list goes on and on. It is alright for your ppl to expect the red carpet treatment to the point of having the countries you move to (or invade) same thing, do away with anything that does not serve your belief system. Muslims want to circumvent the law and replace it with barbaric Shari law. This is inhumane but if the west would just lay down ALL of it's values and beliefs to accept it then everything would be fine.
Give us a break. We don't want to fight with you or Muslims but we don't want to get the blame for everything either. It is not the Muslims who are being beat down here it is the non-Muslim ppl.

There is nothing wrong to be a Muslim or any other religious faith if it pleases you, BUT it is wrong to use that faith as a base to hate others and kill any one who does not think or believe the same, I do not believe in any sort of God or religion, so should I be hated for it ?

In all fairness, I dont understand your question. This person is saying that muslims dont mix well when adapting to other societies, notably western society.

Wester society is all sinful and very offensive to muslims. Just as many of the traditions of the muslim religiion, like mercy killings of family members, cruel punishment for petty crimes, such as beheadings for stealing, etc.. are not acceptable to us in the western world. You are talking about putting a religious group that condemms the way of life where they are relocating and tried to change their new culture to their way of life, most of the time thru brute force.

Look at what happned in Holland, where a film maker made a film about muslims and he was killed dead in the street by a muslim for "stepping on his values". We in the west pride ourselves on freedom of expression and religion. Another example, look at what happened in Denmark. Someone drew pictures of Muhammed, an riots sprung ALL OVER THE WORLD with hundreds of people being killed. Muslims attacked a christian center in africa and killed a group of missionary nuns that were there teaching children to read and feeding the poor. It is never a crime to print pictures like this where I live, It is accepted and expression is encouraged. We try to be mindful of otheres, but death is not a valid response in western culture.
To a muslim, moderate or extreme, this is the way, and all others are unacceptable. All muslim and arab news and media curse the west, adn then entire populations are trying to move to West. When they get there, they instill their opposite values that are against our laws.

This is to answer your question: If you come to my church, you should observe and respect and leave it at that. If you start shouting at people because you dont agree, you should leave. As this article states, a majority of muslim immigrants are choosing not to assimilate, they are fighting the customs and values we are proud of.

It is not something to be sensitive about, it is an issue of respect.

this article is not about terrorism at all. Did you even read it?
